Hey, it’s Sonya Stattman, host of Women in the Business Arena! If you caught our last episode, you will have some inkling that we are shifting this podcast. I have had the honor to do all 200 of the previous episodes with my amazing co-host Laura Shook Guzman and she will continue to be a regular guest but this season we’ll be mixing it up with other guests, panels and even a party.
Our mission this season is to show you:
- There is a different way to run your business.
- One that aligns with your values not the traditional patriarchal values.
- One that brings ease and doesn’t require hustle.
- One that focuses on ethical marketing and alternative ways to grow your business.
- And we are going to spend the whole season busting myths.
Get ready for our best season yet. And, of course, there are 200 episodes in our old seasons that you can dive into.
Thank you for welcoming us into your ears, your hearts and your businesses. Be sure to subscribe, so you don’t miss an episode. And for more just visit WomenInTheBusinessArena.com

And we're back! Hey, it's Sonya Stattman, host of Women in the Business Arena! Our mission this season is to show you that there is a different way to run your business. One that aligns with your values not the traditional patriarchal values. One that brings ease and doesn't require hustle. One that focuses on ethical marketing and alternative ways to grow your business. We are going to spend the whole season busting myths. Myths like there's only one right way to run your business which is a bunch of BS or that you have to be on social media to succeed, or, you know, the secret belief you have that the problem with your business is your just not working hard enough. We're going to kick all these beliefs to the curb and tell you what it really takes to succeed in business and it isn't what you think. If you're new to Women in the Business Arena, there are a couple of things we want you to know about our show.1. Our goal is to bring you a big sigh of relief by listening to this podcast, you'll become aware that you are not alone, not crazy, not a failure and not an exception to the success rule: business is hard and much of what you see in this business world is an illusion. We're going to take you beyond the veil. In addition, our philosophy and success strategies are rooted in worthiness because we want you to know that YOU ARE WORTHY just by breathing. There is nothing more that you need to do or be to be worthy of success, joy, fulfillment, or freedom. What we have to do is women is unhook our worth from our business because they literally have nothing to do with each other. Our intention is to create a space for women who are often overlooked in traditional business spaces. You know, women who haven't been valued for their wisdom, or their slow pace or their thoughtfulness or their commitment to integrity. We honor women who refuse to hustle and women with less capacity to run their business. Whether because of obligations, health challenges, or life circumstances. We see you; we got you; we honor you! And we're so glad you're here. So if all this sounds good to you, you're in the right place. Get ready for our best season yet. And, of course, there are 200 episodes in our old seasons that you can dive into. Thank you for welcoming us into your ears, your hearts and your businesses.
